New hospital rankings released by US News and World Report this morning contained mixed news for Lakeland Regional Health: The hospital dropped from 11th in Florida last year to 23rd this year, but it was lauded as highly performing in three areas.

More than 5,200 county utility customers near C.R. 540A between U.S. 98 and Florida Avenue are being asked to use bottled water or boil water before using it for drinking or cooking. The precautionary boil water notice will last until water sampling analysis is completed in an estimated 48 hours.
